If I can constantly and continually have more hours than and be more productive in that time every day than pretty much everyone else, then there's no way I can't continue to become the person I want to be. Sleeping 6 hours on average (some days 4.5, some 7.5) while others 7-8, that gives me a potential fully waking day just after the course of a week. (8-6) * 7 = 14 hours. In a month, that's anywhere from 30-60 hours. In a year, ~360 hours to 720 hours. That's 15-30 extra days I've given myself of awake, fresh, energized, motivated time and energy I can be spending thinking, learning, doing, and relating over a year. Of course, none of this matters if my awake time is spent tired, lethargic, unproductive, unreflective. That's where doing meditation 1-2 times / day gives that rest that the body needs. What I observed yesterday is that I slept for 7 hours but at around 10 pm when I'm normally starting to get sleepy, I didn't. I ended up sleeping at about midnight. Now that could be b/c of that extra hour of sleep or potentially b/c of the 20 min meditation that I did in the evening. Idk. I'll continue to track how fresh, energized, and motivated I am throughout the day and see how that lines up with my sleep schedule / meditation practices.

Convo I had yesterday with Dan, several good things came from it. 1) The actual work outcome related to LaundroLab 2) him open to / excited about being (the first) a guest on my podcast, and 3) making me think about how valuable each different podcast style is to the listener. The learning, doing, and relating styles all make sense. The thinking on could be improved. So in addition to the current idea of recording my stream of subconsciousness thoughts, had a few more ideas. One is me reading my journal entries. Not sure how valuable that necessarily is since the entries are all on my blog. I also don't want to extensively repeat myself across the various channels. One is going through my Thought Vault, but that's really what my pod has been up until now anyways. The one that I can resonate with a lot, however, is couple days ago I added a 'Why did today happen?' prompt / section in my list journal. I can go through the month (since the thinking one would be 1 / month) and go through each days' answers to that question to give listeners an idea of how I'm approaching each day. what the purpose of that day was, how I learned from it. But doing that for 30 days would take a while and I don't want to make it too long. So I could potentially choose 1 day of that month to deep dive into. I could maybe read the journal entry, go through each of the sections in my list journal and get to the 'Why did today happen?' and expand on that. If I did just the question, it wouldn't provide as much context. Hmmm....but my journal entries here are usually commentary of the previous day, so it doesn't exactly line up with the day in the list journal. Ok so rn, I like going in the deep end on just 1 day that month and describing all parts about it and ending with 'Why did today happen?'. Now I just need a name. Why did today happen. One day. Daily Deep Dive. 1% Improvement / Growth. Daily Practice. Daily Tracking. One Step Forward. First In Last Out. Every Day. No Days Off. Of these, I like 1% Growth the most. FILO is also a cool name but doesn't have as much relevance for this. Could use it for something at some point though.
