Be Aware of What You Ask For | 3/18/21

One thing I left out yesterday was another instance of something happening exactly as I said / intended to. When going to sleep, I affirmed to myself, "I will get the correct amount of rest I need to feel fresh, energized, and motivated tomorrow morning, whether that's 3 hours, 4 hours, 5, 6, 7, or 8 hours." So I went to sleep around 10-10:15 pm. I then proceeded to wake up at 1:30. Felt too tired so I went back to sleep and woke up again at 2:30, then same thing. Then 4. Then 5:30 and finally at 6:30 or so I felt fresh enough to awaken for the day. That's when I realized I created this! I asked for each hour in that affirmation, and that's exactly what happened lol! So I have to be keenly aware of what I ask for b/c it can explicitly happen!

Yesterday went by in a blur, as I imagine today and the next few days will as well. Made final preparations for Discovery Day - so all set for a fantastic day today! Then I headed over to the airport to get my first dose of the COVID vaccine! Then went straight to Tai Chi class. One the way there, I finished up the 1st episode of South Asian Stories. Since that's a podcast that releases only 1 / month, I can take my time catching up to it and listening to all of the episodes in order. At Tai Chi class, after warmups, it basically turned into Kung Fu class. He was going over basics of Kung Fu with the others so I was invited to join in. Did my best to keep up. The punches weren't too bad (to perfect would take time, obviously). The blocks were a bit more complex, but if / when I get there, I can flow into that.

Then came back, picked up Taco Bell on the way. I scarfed it down and then had a couple hour convo with Pragya. We did #selfcare putting on face masks on the call. Her actual first time putting something like that one so I'm glad I was there for that historic moment!

With Adam coming in today and spending the weekend here, should I interview him as the first guest on the podcast using the lav mics?? I may not publish it for a bit, but that could be nice to have in my back pocket. Let's see. I also do want to do episodes with guests in person. I could batch them if I go to a specific city and get them done in a weekend so I can be more efficient with time, money, and energy. Just an idea.
