How Do I Practice Consciously Creating? | 4/30/21

Thursday was a pretty normal day nothing out of the ordinary. I just have so many things I want to write about that my content consumption pace has slowed down a bit. But I plan to pick it back up after I move in this weekend and get settled in.

One of the things I listen to a couple weeks ago was Shaun Jayachandran on the Brown People We Know podcast. He started an athletic centered extracurricular nonprofit in India. He played basketball in high school and the coach he played for was actually a player for John Wooden. Just hearing these as well as in the past of the type of upstanding and outstanding person Wooden was. I made a note to search and acquire any books about his story. How he molded boys into young men and responsible citizens. Two days later my gaze at the office happened upon a co-worker's desk, there was a bright blue book with a spine showing. Read it in a cursory manner initially and then did a double take as it said John Wooden on it. I didn't even make the connection at the time but as I reflected that night I realized I had simply asked for it and it appeared just like that. He ended up lending me the book, so I hope to read it soon.

One of the things that I had written about last week was latent and potential value. That all content has value if received with enough attention. The next day, I was browsing through my Gmail and clearing out all the unread to ensure a zero inbox. So I had signed up for a newsletter called Word Genius and they'll email me a word of the day every day. Many times I actually don't click into those and just leave them as read. But for whatever reason this time. I clicked into this particular word of the day. It happened to be a word called Entelechy. It means the realization of potential. It was a perfect word to describe what I had outlined in that prior entry. More of these little incidents that I've been more perceptive to lately, but all because I just create that energy and it's returned to me in whatever way.

That's one thing I want to phrase it more as: 'create energy' or 'make energy'. I was watching an IGTV video that Jaspreet had DMed earlier this week about how we can have more energy. Actually many good practices in there that I can hopefully incorporate into my life. But one thing that he kept on reiterating was that we create energy. Everyone wants to have or get more energy. But how many want to create energy? The more energy that we're expending the more energy we're actually creating. The more we exercise the more energy we create. The more we meditate the more energy we create. So life is just a game of intentionally creating positive energy.

So directly related to this are imprints. As I noticed earlier the time delay between the imprint being planted and the resulting effect has been getting shorter. And over time. I've generally become more aware of what imprints there are. And I hope to only be more shrewd about noticing what one is. So with both trends going that way if I'm more aware of these imprints, can I create them into existence quicker? [5 MINUTES] Is the purity of the intention directionally proportionate to the response time of the materialization? But what about the violent negative thoughts that I had the other day that materialized very quickly? Maybe I add in the factor of the state of consciousness? If I'm deeper into my subconscious. I can actualize it with more ease? So with something like the Wooden book or Entelechy, I wasn't in a subconscious state. So what gave there? Maybe the subconscious is an easier way to access our purity of intentions. So there's not really two factors of purity and state of consciousness. It's only one. Of intentions. Maybe had such pure intentions when making note of the Wooden book that I created in a fully conscious state. So, how do I practice conscious creation? How do I practice consciously creating? This is perfect because I was rereading the year end feedback that people had given me in December to remind myself who I was in December 2020. One of the answers that someone wrote (99% sure it was Sathvik) for the question of "if Sai took into account all of your feedback, how would you describe him in December 2021?" was that Sai is a conscious creator of his life. Let's make that a reality!

One thing that happened yesterday was an interview / discussion with HR to learn more about my experience at 2U, how to improve our culture, etc. The most interesting question they asked was something like "If you're given your dream job offer, what would that look like?" Essentially what would it take from another organization for me to leave 2U / LaundroLab? After a few seconds of thinking about it, I said that I don't think I want to work for anyone after 2U / LaundroLab anymore. So if someone came to me with a Co-founder opportunity and the venture is valuable enough to myself and society only then would I consider it. I felt hella confident when I said that haha. Truly believed that though. I have too many ideas, inspiration, creativity to not start tackling that one by one over the course of my life. Only thing that I didn't mention with that could be a caveat to that is if content creation explodes and that's sustainable as a living somehow. But I'm not even close to that so no need worrying about it. I don't think I would only do content creation as a job though because it's about documenting the journey. The content is just a supplement to my aspirations. A lot of it I'm already doing anyway, so it's minimal lift even with the multi-channel approach. However if I'm ready to launch adventure, if I've potentially found a co-founder and 2U / LL isn't growing as expected then I'd consider that as well. But definitely not any job offers that are in the middle of the ladder. I don't want to invest my time and energy into something like that.

Had a few thoughts regarding said content. How can I integrate the asking of more questions to my content? I've actually started doing this for the last couple entries just making the title of each blog post a question that's explored or answered in that post. Pretty simple. Let's see how it's received. I also do want to be more even more real-time than I am currently with my blog and vlog particularly. For the blog, I did a test for a five-page entry first was straight typing it out that took 22 minutes. If I recorded it it only took 11 minutes. I didn't go through and edit the transcript of it yet, but I'll start doing it soon because audio is one half the time of typing plus I have two channels in one ready to go that way. I can then publish the blog post that night instead of waiting until the next day. Same with the vlog, it only takes a few minutes to edit and publish, so I want to get to a point of publishing the vlog that evening as well. I'd been using the external trigger of me moving as when to start. And this weekend is finally here so I want to start soon.
