How Does Water Change Who You Are? | 6/18/21

Got an email at midnight Wednesday about RUTBAB. Thought about it for a bit and I'm like let's do it! It's 'only' gonna be 19 hours of in-person bhajans and then 7 hours of pre-recorded bhajans just streamed on YouTube. And then, it's only going to be limited to about 40 people at once. So I'm glad and humbled that I did get the email. I think it might be the best one cuz it's gonna be dense with such talented, devoted, energetic people and it's basically just YAs. Honestly can't wait. Was initially thinking of flying but think I'm gonna drive instead. I think the 9 pm(ish) to 6 am pre-recorded section made me lean towards driving cuz then I can get that rest that I didn't have the last 2 years. Since it is a 9-10 hour drive. But I'm also excited to visit Pragya and Sudha for the 1st time and check out the new place that they'll be moving into! Then maybe hit up Dak or DKline on the way back down in DC. Looking forward to this road trip. Might even itnerview one or both of them for the pod in NY lol, let's see.

Thursday, went to Park Road Park and chilled there for the 1st time. Very calm, not as packed as Freedom Park, though a bit more hilly so had to search a bit longer to find a flat terrain to do some Tai Chi on. Will definitely be going back though soon. The recycling center is there too so I'll continue to go there regardless so I can line those up.

Also saw Sadhguru's video on eating water. Basically confirmed what I had thought with fruits and veggies. He also said that our diet should consist of foods that are >70% water since that's what our body content is. That way, we can drink less water, which actually dilutes our blood and leads to health issues down the road. He said to drink at once so we don't trick the brain by drinking bit by bit throughout the day, which is interesting. As that's not what I was necessarily taught growing up. The other cool thing is that water changes its molecular structure depending on its context and energy. So if I'm grateful and have positive energy and intentions when drinking water, that will get transferred into my being. That's why thirtham in temples and poojas is a thing. Very enlightening actually.

Friday morning, decided to go on a longer run than usual. I decided on the route but wasn't sure how long it was going to end up being. Was 6.75 miles and I did it at a 8:35 pace. Not bad but def want to use that as a baseline and start to work my way towards getting that below 8:00. Plan on doing 2-3 mile runs regularly with this longer 6-7+ mile run thrown in every 1-2 weeks. And then maybe every quarter I can do a really long run of a half marathon (or potentially longer). In addition to a different course like I did today, I do want to mix it up by doing dozens of loops around a small track. That's a different mental battle that the people in the 3100 mile race in NY have to do. [10 min] Just looked it up and they did the race in Austria last year in Nov. Idk if they're doing it this year in NY cuz it woulda been around the time frame that I'd be going and would be starting quite soon. Maybe another time I can witness and experience this spectacle of self-transcendence.
