Last year I did a form of thinkitation without even knowing it was a thing. Recording audio as I said things out loud while in a meditative state. Recording audio in those situations, as well as in my actual podcasts now (on the Google Recorder app) allows me to read the transcript of it. By reading the transcript, I can see how fluid my speech actually is. How many filler words I have like "uh", "umm" and "ya know", etc. There's so much improvement I can have here that it's both frightening and exciting at the same time. Leaving pauses in normal conversations instead of saying "um" can be a challenge and feel awkward. But I know that having that awareness is the first step in addressing that unconscious habit. Talking to a camera for the vlog has been good practice for that. Let's keep up that growth trajectory.
Doing segment intending pretty much every day now for the past month or so has been a quick, small, yet highly effective way to feel my way through the day. I don't necessarily need to consciously think about what I want to do next because I just flow from one thing to the next intuitively. By visualizing my ideal day, I've already accomplished everything once (in my head). Now it's just a matter of doing so again (in the physical world). And since I know I will have already accomplished it, I can spend more time in the present. Being fully aware and focused on the current moment. If I can do that for every minute of the day, then that's how I become indistractable.
I started keeping track of my TLDR metrics since Monday. So it'll be interesting and insightful to look back on them over the weeks, months, quarters, and even years to see the shift over time. When am I in more of a thinking phase or a learning phase, or a phase heavy on 2 of the 4 of them. Only time will tell. I know Notion doesn't have that analytics / visualization capability right now but I'm keeping track of all the potentially useful metrics. Once they do build out that capability, I already have a massive amount of data to visualize. Not just creating for the now but creating for where the future will be.
