New month - let's go!! Lot of stuff that happened in the country in January but good to turn to the next chapter at least metaphorically. I didn't end up doing the weekly & monthly reviews yesterday so gonna do that first thing today. Kinda coincides with the 2U monthly retro tomorrow so it's good that I can be in a similar frame of mind for both.
Spent lots of time yesterday editing & scheduling to publish content. It's a bit of work but it frees up my time throughout the week to move the needle on other projects. One of which is the Zero Inbox project. It's been sitting at like 2k for almost 2 weeks now so I just need to finish that of. I had hoped to have that done and my personal finance project complete by EOM but that didn't happen. Lots of laziness and lethargy the last couple of weeks but I feel a renewed sense of purpose now. Only question is how do I sustain this.
Yesterday also went on a mini online shopping spree as I bought an adjustable lap desk. It'll mainly be used for writing since it's best to write at an angle, so I'm lookin forward to that. Reading, either at my desk or in bed will also be easier, so let's see how it works. I found another one that seems to have more angles after I had already purchased it. If this one doesn't cut it, I'll go ahead and buy that one. But I dropped lot more $$ on some new headphones. The Google Pixel Buds The red & black ones work fine when it's in-line mode, like for my phone or PS4. But when in bluetooth mode, its become less and less reliable. The audio quality is atrocious in bluetooth when compared to my current bluetooth only headphones. And ppl at work calls have said they couldn't hear me properly sometimes. So instead of buying another cheap option, might as well invest in something higher quality. Now these aren't the best air buds out there, but since I have the Pixel already, it makes sense to integrate that into my Google ecosystem. I like the look better than Air Pods anyway.
Also received a standing desk at work last week so I'll have to set that up sometime this week. I think I'll like the flexibility it provides.
Let's continue this locked in momentum that I have rn. It's 100% worth it imo to invest in thinGs that are conducive to me being productive, motivated, and physically at ease.
