What Am I Grateful For? | 7/28/21

Day 9 of Be Extraordinary talked about gratitude. He said that it had the highest correlation to general wellbeing than anything else. It's not about just writing them down or thinking about those grateful moments throughout our day. It's about the feeling we get when we think of that experience. I can feel it in the middle of my chest. He said to choose at least 1 thing we're grateful for in the areas of personal life, career, and yourself. And to do this right before segment intending so that you can get the maximum out of both of them.

In my personal life, I'm grateful for the friends I have overall, but specifically in Atlanta as they're so welcoming with me visiting this coming weekend. I'm grateful for the people who create time to read, watch, and listen to my content as it gives me even more energy to continue creating.

In my career, I'm grateful for the opportunity to improve by getting feedback from my colleagues so that I can provide more value to the company and to myself. I'm grateful for all of the initiatives I get to work on across the 2 business models.

On myself, I'm grateful that my body is capable of having more energy on less sleep so that I can TLDR more during each day. I'm grateful for the vision and mission I've set out for myself and society because I know it'll help us all reach our highest potential.

While we're on the subject of gratitude, people joke about how Gary Vee has so much energy and he says "gratitude" or "love" or "empathy" or things like that. I've come to understand that it's actually kinda true. Those are all feelings and states of being. Creating energy is also a state of being. These feelings fuel that energy for the soul. I think there's a number of different factors that contribute to me having more energy, like diet, meditation, quality of sleep, but just having a higher Positive Intelligence (PQ) is definitely a major part of that pie.

When we have more gratitude for the water that we drink, it provides more energy for us. It actually changes its molecular structure depending on the energy that's around it. Then why else would Holy Water exist in Christianity? Why else would thirtham exist in Hinduism? I'm sure there's examples in other religions, cultures, and traditions also. When we're more grateful for the food that we eat, the greater the positive energy that it can provide us with. When we're more grateful for the money that we spend and receive, the more likely it is that we'll have more of it. When we're more grateful for Mother Nature, the more likely we'll have beliefs about preserving and protecting it from all the sicknesses it's going through. These feelings can shape beliefs over time. Where energy goes, energy grows.

One thing he also mentioned in the video was that we tend to underestimate and undervalue the things that are free and overvalue the things that have a price tag on them. Since we can quantify material things, our rational minds place more value on it. If I believe that I am not the mind, and everything that the mind creates is not actually real, then quantification is not real. It's just an illusion to allow our brains to try to comprehend and put a number on something. That is consistent with the 'things' we see in this world are not real. Since we can count ho many desks, whiteboards, trees, people, etc. are on Earth, all of it is not real. So the only true 'number' that exists is Infinity. We cannot measure love or gratitude. This is also consistent with the abundance mindset. The amount of money we can create is not infinite but reaching infinity. It will always be quantifiable but more and more can always be created. Since money is energy, and we can create energy, we can create more money by having a grateful mindset towards money flowing through us. That's why the Arigato In / Arigato Out method works so simply and well. You're creating energy, thereby increasing the energy flowing through you in the form of money and otherwise. Where energy goes, energy grows. It's also consistent with 'what you resist, persists.' By resisting something, we're not allowing that energy to flow through us with ease. So it's going to continue to be blocked through the means of beliefs, mindsets, actions or inaction. The more gratitude and love that flows through us, which is just energy that the soul can comprehend, the more health, wealth, relationships, etc. will flow through us, which is just energy that the body and mind can comprehend.

So really, life is just a game of who can feel and express more gratitude. You know the cool things with this game? There doesn't only have to be one winner. Everyone can win!
