Reflecting on Saturday’s party. I felt energized throughout the whole party. I met other creators, entrepreneurs, driven folks who are doing cool shit in the Carolinas area. The fluid exchange of ideas, meeting new people, hearing what others are doing and building, how they’re providing massive value to others and so much more. The intentions of everyone there were pure, childlike, and carefree.
When I mentioned a few months ago of the types of events that I want to hose, that was a clear guiding example. The small tables could have 3-5 people so that’s a perfect size of small group discussions. Food and drinks by local vendors and a camera person. Definitely an underrated aspect.
One thing I’m good at is meeting new people but I have to follow up with them. That is a manifestation of my fast start but slow down after that in the interpersonal realm. I’ve followed up with a few folks already who I met, so that’s a good first step.
Very impressed with Kyle King’s eloquence, storytelling and especially memory. I pitched my business and he remembered still 3-4 hours later and was pretty accurate.
Memory about someone will make them feel special and heard. I’ve been getting better with names recently so that’s step 1. Once I add association 1-3 things about them with their name, it’s going to be a dangerous combination.
I definitely felt more in my place at this party than I have ever felt at any previous party. I’m attracting my tribe. And it feels good! Feels amazing!
Looking forward to more of these and spending time and energy connecting deeper with each of them.
