What Did I Learn About Myself Through This Experience? | 5/18/21

Essentially an ideal day on Monday as I've gotten back into my ideal routine. I've started drinking celery juice as the first thing I do when I wake up since I won't necessarily be waking anybody up. I think that does reduce my routine time a bit, which combined with when I wake up and my close proximity to work, can allow me to get started on the day early. That important deep work time. Can get into the 90/90/1 challenge since I usually don't have any meetings until 10:30 most days.

I've also found myself recently attracting the types of people that I want into my life more and more. There's more and more human connection with friends, family, coworkers. Definitely that's not a coincidence as that is the way I can learn more about myself. If everything we ever experience in life is done so with a lens of "Through this experience, I learned X about myself," then we can keep growing. The more often we do this, the faster we grow. So really, the key to self-growth is not to do more, but to think more. To just be. Since I'm emphasizing thinking on a daily basis, the rate at which I'm growing is not only faster than it's ever been, it's actually increasing exponentially. Which is crazy to think about. Even crazier is that I've only really started deeply thinking for the last year or so. So that exponential curve - I'm only at the beginning of it.

Learned about DiSC personalities the other day. Another framework of how to understand ourselves and others. I know some people live and die by these personality assessments. I'm trying to approach it from the perspective of what kinds of people do I connect with the most, based on these groupings? I know myself better than these assessments can b/c of my reflective process. How can I leverage these existing models to attract the ideal people into my life? There are just tools. A means to an end. I want to use these tools to bring my ideal CoFounder(s) into my life. The general type of person that will mesh cohesively with my strengths and weaknesses, leadership style, personal temperament, lifestyle, etc. All these I am choosing to be intentional about. If I can visualize and experience being with this energy, it'll undoubtedly happen.
