What's More Important Than What I Learn? | 6/12/ 21

Have realized that my thought process recently goes 2 different ways when I have an idea. Either I suppose it to be true and work backwards to prove it or I simply ask a question. Either way, I usually end up asking more questions along the process and end with a conclusion that I originally necessarily hadn't considered or thought I'd get to. I love that process of discovery.

People will usually focus on what they're learning. Some will be wanting to relearn something so that it becomes a part of them more. Others still will be aware of what they are intentionally unlearning. Learn, relearn, unlearn. But what if there's a 4th categorization? What am I choosing not to learn? What we choose not to learn is perhaps more important than what we decide to learn. I am choosing to place imprints of that knowledge that will come up at some point later. The content that I consume is an extension of my company that I keep. I know I don't necessarily think of it like that but would I be proud to keep my company with the characters, creators of that content? Would I share that with the world of what shows I'm watching - what I'm learning when I'm watching that show, for example - what I'm learning about myself really.

I think the same thing can apply to when I'm interacting with people. I can learn the most from what's not said. People are gonna say a bunch of stuff but it's not only what they don't say, but also how and why they're saying that's vital. "If you're listening effectively, what the other person is saying is the least important thing you should be hearing." -Me lol. I want to do a better job of hearing and deducing why people are saying what they are. If I can read in between the lines in real time, I can respond more empathetically and effectively.

Ok random question. Why am I lefty? To place the imprint of and to practice being different? Well I think it's both a cause and an effect. There's a reason why I'm left and a reason for being lefty. I actually don't know either but I'm just going to put it out into the universe and I'll be listening for the answers.
