What Was My Moment Of Awakening? | 7/19/21

Felt good to complete the half marathon with vigor and purpose Sunday morning. Best pace yet. Next time let's get under 8:15 / mile. I ended up doing Tai Chi after stretching and cooling down, so that was relaxing. One guy actually came up to me and asked me which style of Tai Chi it was. He said he's been doing it for the last couple of years at Royal Dragon here in Charlotte. It was fitting his name was Rain, while it was showering while I was doing the form. It felt so refreshing to do it with the rain falling down.

Be Extraordinary Quest Part 1 question to journal on: What was my moment of awakening? The single clearest, most definitive moment was in February of 2019 when I attended Isha's Inner Engineering Program. Opened me up to a mindset change that I cultivated into my current one. Made me have more faith and trust in myself as opposed to aimlessly followings others and even a God. Made me ask deeper questions to myself as well as when interacting with others. Of course it wasn't an immediate switch that turned on, but it was like a stove top that gathered heat to fuel the pan of self-growth and deeper spirituality. It exposed me to a type of meditation that I hadn't been exposed to yet. There were smaller moments before that and smaller and bigger moments after that as well. But that was the earliest most influential inflection point of my current trajectory. I'm grateful that the Chiefs lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship game. Otherwise, this moment would never have happened.
