For the Day 2 of Be Extraordinary, Vishen talked about Levels 3 & 4 of consciousness. For level 4, there were 4 qualities that described it: sense of connectedness, being tapped into your intuition, inspiration driving your intentions, and having luck on your side. The exercise is to write down a time when I've experienced one or all of these qualities. Experienced these higher states of being.
Sense of connectedness - I feel this when I do small acts of service, either in action and / or by intention. The most common one is when I give granola bars to the homeless when I'm stopped at a red light. I feel that compassion and truly pray for the best thing to happen in their lives. I try my best to put myself in their place and empathize with their situation.
Tapped into intuition - the most direct experience of this was in December when I texted Sathvik that I had an intuition for setting up a more structured family meeting(s) during the holiday timeframe. I was right too as he had just finished an EKAA in person activity that connected him deeper to the family as well. Plenty of other times since that I've made small decisions just cuz I've felt like it and it's been correct. Even feeling exactly when I'm going to wake up the next morning, right down to the exact minute (without an alarm obviously).
Inspiration driving my intention - I think many of the things I write about in the journal are an example of this. Even recently the 150 year plan. The Q1 → Q2 Quarterly Circle where I got the ideas to change up the podcast style. The car ride back from work in June of 2020 where I conceived of the school idea initially and built that out. All internal inspiration driving my intentions.
Luck is on my side - I've been very fortunate with being involved in potentially life-threatening car accidents but the grace of the Universe was watching out for me. Me also starting a new job in October of 2019 before COVID started was a great blessing. Otherwise, I definitely woulda been one of the first to be let go at Capgemini. Most things just seem to work out, so I don't get too hung up on momentary and fleeting thoughts, emotions, and circumstances.
I like taking an active role in my growth as I'm watching this course. Splitting it up every day, as is their intention, allows the learnings to become a part of my identity, which is really the purpose of enrolling in any course.
Also recorded the TLDR podcast series model Intro / Overview episode on Monday. I was definitely more aware of my speech flow in it so that's definitely improvement just in the awareness and recognition of it.
