Why do I believe that the workforce will evolve towards specialized conglomerates?
The main reason is because that’s what I see it trending towards. Fewer companies at the top. More individuals / small businesses at the bottom level. DAOs may be a good model of this already actually.
There are organizational operating systems but no one really in charge of it. Or at least not permanently. Anyone can work for any org at any point. If we play this out to infinity, everyone will be their own organization. And those individual organizations contribute to fewer large organizations. Things are getting both centralized and decentralized simultaneously.
Hmm, the class structure also mimics this. More and more people are going into upper class or lower class. The declining middle class.
But again those are two different concepts if we have a 2D framework of thinking about it. If we add in a 3rd dimension, then they can be ‘wrapped around’ to be normalizing towards the same thing in effect. So I think ironically when you add the 3rd dimension, it actually converges to a singular point. It continues to flatten and then reduce the vector lengths of that dimension to converge.
This is only a view of the organization-individual though. Of that relationship. But there could be a world where its inverted. So it’s both. You need both convergent frameworks in place.
Decentralization is just centralization with its axis flipped.
It’s the DevOps services basically. More and more specialized use cases. Like the niching down process as well. Getting further and further towards ideal avatar, but financially it works because you’re charging more. Individual’s services (which are also an organization’s in this example) will be used by large companies and conglomerates.
So essentially we’re going towards a single, unified, world operating system that includes and integrates government, education, business, health, etc. There is x vs y. There all are one. This is generations presumably. But we’re trending towards that.
Why do I believe all this though?
I think because simply I’m observing it in the world.
Observations (External) + Experiences (Internal) = Beliefs.
I mean sure, that’s the generic answer (simplistically), but any specific observations and experiences specific to me that led me to this?
I also believe in stats. Which is fundamental to my beliefs. At least stats from seemingly reputable sources, decided upon semi-whimsically, ignorantly and with bias.
I guess it’s becoming more centralized depending on who you ask. And same thing with decentralization. It’s just which perspective they have on things.
Hmm, is there another level deeper of beliefs of beliefs? That we believe in our beliefs. That we believe our observations. That we believe our experiences. We believe our thoughts. The belief that we believe our beliefs is perhaps another deeper level. How much of what I believe I believe do I actually believe? How much of what others believe do I believe?
Belief | That’s a car | 100%
Belief of beliefs | I know what a car is and isn’t | 100%
Belief of belief of beliefs | I know I know what a car is and isn’t | 100%
Hmm, when we communicate, there is an underlying belief that we are being comprehensible. There is an assumption of intent behind words. And feelings.
Belief | I feel happy | 100%
Belief of beliefs | I know what happiness is and isn’t | 100%
Belief of belief of beliefs | I think I know what happiness is and happiness isn’t | 100%
Belief | I’m unsure of my purpose | 50%
Belief of beliefs | I know what purpose is and isn’t | 100%
Belief of belief of beliefs | (I know / I think) I know what purpose is and isn’t | (100% / 50%)
Belief | Is there a God? | 50%
Belief of beliefs | Idk what God is and isn’t | 50%
Belief of belief of beliefs | I know I don’t know what God is and isn’t | 100%
I could keep creating examples of this. But I think my point is illustrated. The 2nd level (changed it to assumption of beliefs instead of belief of beliefs) is how much understanding there is of something. The 2nd level is the assumed definition. The 3rd level is how dynamic is that assumed definition.
Lot of life is talking on the 1st level (if that) with 100% on the assumed definition and 100% on the dynamic-fixed nature of that assumed definition. This 3rd level is really what we are targeting when we say close-minded vs open-minded.
Are we open to potentially changing our assumed definitions?
So to reframe more coherently.
Level 1 = Beliefs
Level 2 = Assumption of Beliefs
Level 3 = Elasticity of Assumption of Beliefs
This is what the unpacking beliefs process looks like. It’s a journey.
